What happened since the
latest update?

As I told you in the last update I was doing a course in game design to learn more and develop new techniques to help me create all the game documents of our many projects. It is with pleasure that I can now say that I have passed all of the exams and earned my certificate and I even got a recommendation letter given by Robert Gallerani (Ex Activision & Blizzard Game Designer).

During the game design course, I took they made us create a prototype for a game of our choice and I decided to make a prototype for the board game Planet Warz 3000 Outbreak Survivors! Crazy right?
How can a co-op horror game and story be turned into a board game? Well, I will talk about all this alongside how to choose the right artist or developer when it comes to creating your own project in the universe of Planet Warz in another update before the end of this year, so a big community update should be coming soon.

Talking about Planet Warz 3000 Outbreak Survivors. Dess Net Library has released the book series description and Make Souvenirs Games has updated Planet Warz 3000 Outbreak Survivors details inside the official games, I was not expecting to work on this before the World Warfare series was finished and published but the Outbreak Survivors project was perfect for the assignment
I was given so I decided to do it.

Dess Net Library has decided to do a Prologue series of Planet Warz 5000 World Warfare because we want to build trust toward our community and the name of the studio before releasing the main book series. Inside the prologue series, we will follow and discover two young characters from the main series “Jacewin a Prossawin who recently lost everything, and Erkella a Des’Ork who is about to live a nightmare. It will highlight their motive for being in the war that will take place on Hyruzac and their true objective. The main series will follow the story of a lot of characters but we think that those two characters deserve their own series so we want to introduce them here first.

The Card Game

Here is some information and designs I have created for the card game of “PW3K OS” while I was doing my design course. Note the card game mechanics and card information are in pre-development and everything you see may be subject to change.

Quick Summary

Players must survive and escape the many nightmarish scenarios of Planet Warz 3000 Outbreak Survivors story. Players will have to draw from two deck cards to advance and complete to escape from the scenario. The player who escapes the map with the most action cards is the winner.

Game Set-Up

Players can select the scenario they want to play by participating in a vote for their preferred map. The player who rolls the highest number with a dice gets their voted map selected for the game.

The game is played with two types of cards, “Movement” cards and “Action” cards. Movement cards make players advance in the scenario and Inside the action deck cards, supplies and weapons can be found but also enemies. Meaning whenever a player draws an action card, there's a chance an enemy will appear and attack. The player involved in the encounter flips a coin to play heads or tails and the winner gets the first attack.

Pillars

  • Nightmarish Escape Scenarios: A scenario is comprised of three stages. To complete a scenario players will have to draw cards and survive against many types of enemies. Players will have to find weapons and supplies if they want to survive the whole scenario.

  • Survival Horror Setting: Just enough life items, and ammo to barely survive encounters and escapes the scenario.

  • Quick Horror Experience: The game should always be fast played, based on pure luck, and should always keep the player on the edge of their seat.

  • Extraction: Players have a chance to draw an extraction card from the movement deck and can use it to escape from the map if they feel like stopping or if they think they might die soon.

  • Permanent Death: Once a player loses all of his life points he loses the game and can't come back.

  • Your story: In the card game of “Planet Warz 3000 Outbreak Survivors” you play your own character, will your chance let you down or carry you to the extraction?

  • Never Two Run Are The Same: Ammo and health pack, weapons, and enemy cards are all randomly drawn making the experience of the scenario unique for each playthrought.

  7. The pre-order option for the “Planet Warz 5000 World Warfare” game on the “Pre-Order and Support Us” page has been haltered until the book series is fully realized. (You can still support the game project and pre-order but you should pre-order one of the books from its series, this will tell us if the community wants
    this game or not.

  8. Some grammar errors on the timeline of the Prossawin have been corrected.

  9. Some grammar errors on the timeline of the Des’Orc have been corrected.

  10. The main page of the website has been updated including a brand new “Planet Warz 5000” logo.

  11. The main page of the “DessNet” website has been updated including a brand new logo.

  12. The logo of Make Souvenirs Entertainment has been updated. This can be seen on any pages of both websites at the bottom section.

  13. The old “Planet Warz 5000” logo on all of the books series has been replaced by a new Planet Warz 5000 logo.

  14. The Pre-order section has been updated with a new section for the prologue book series.

  15. The DessNet website main page has been updated with the new main book series artwork.

  16. The Dess Net Library Patreon page has been updated with the ability to pre-order the Prologue series of Planet Warz 5000 World Warfare.

What's next?

I'll be dedicated to social media publicity and completing the first book of the PW5K WW Prologue series. Additionally, I plan to make more live streams while working on the book.

Dess Net Library top priority at the moment is releasing the Prologue series.

A little word from Brazz

Next month, me and my wife are moving out to a new apartment, and the rent at the new place is going to cost us double the amount that is costing us at our current place. Even if the rent is going to be expensive for me and my wife (because we are both lower-class workers) this apartment is worth it because for us it is the ideal place and we even have an extra room for a future possible kid.

This is why for the past months you may have seen Planet Warz 5000 social media more active than usual, and it’s completely normal, I’m going to keep on rocking hard the publicity into all our social media and I am currently preparing the second crowdfunding campaign for the project “Planet Warz 5000 World Warfare” book series and this time I think I will do it on Kickstarter.
